After completing my BA at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, my Bachelor of Education degree at Brock University and several comprehensive training programs related to the financial services business, I joined Freedom 55 Financial.

As a financial security advisor, I’m dedicated to educating the general public and providing complete financial security planning packages to our clients, in order to help them realize their long-term financial goals based on their personal situations. We offer a full range of financial security planning products including life insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance, retirement products and mortgages. My clients have found a great deal of value in going through a complete planning process to identify the issues and needs around their financial security.

I look forward to having the opportunity to help our clients realize their financial goals, to build relationships with my clients and to actively participate in the betterment of our community.

As a financial security advisor with Freedom 55 Financial, I’ve had the satisfaction of helping clients meet their investment and estate planning needs for more than 23 years. My family has served the Kincardine area in the retail market since 1918 by owning and operating a grocery store, an appliance store and by being part of the farming community. Since 1983, I’ve maintained a "store front" business in our family building, with my office manager Brenda, to provide clients with a welcoming environment to discuss their financial dreams. I’m very pleased that my son, Bill, now a financial security and investment representative with Freedom 55 Financial and Quadrus Investment Services Ltd., is working with me and has taken on a large role in my succession plan.

It's very important for me to have Bill, Brenda and Audra in my office, and together we can continue to provide our clients with professional service and updated, educated advice. As times change we ensure that we stay current through our memberships in Advocis - The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, my life membership to The Million-Dollar Round Table and other ongoing continued-education systems. On a personal note, my wife Heather and I have two wonderful daughters, and Heather runs her own retail business. When we're not working we enjoy golfing, walking, biking, traveling, reading and being outdoors.

Brenda Shewfelt - Freedom 55 Financial - Kincardine ON

Brenda is a graduate of Westervelt Business College. She worked in the banking industry for 10 years before joining my office in 1992 as an administrative assistant. Over the years her role has expanded and she is now our personal customer assistant manager and office manager.

Brenda believes in providing professional client service as well as a friendly environment for all of our clients.
